About This Piece
Taqsirah jackets were originally modeled after Ottoman military jackets and worn by women from affluent families in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Ramallah. We've reimagined that traditional taqsirah for you today.
Cropped in plush cotton velvet and finished with gold tahriri, this jacket carries the Sa3a motif with tahriri across the cuffs, neckline, chest, and back. Every gold thread is couched by hand, a technique passed down through generations of Palestinian artisans. Available in black or burgundy velvet.

Sizing & Fit
Care Instructions:
Handmade Palestinian embroidery can be delicate, but with the right care, your piece will last a lifetime.
- Hand-wash in lukewarm water
- Use a mild soap (preferably a natural olive oil soap)
- Hang to dry
- For stains on fabric away from the embroidery, spot-clean with detergent
- Iron on low heat with the piece turned inside out to protect the embroidery
