1. What is Tatreez?
   Tatreez is the Arabic word for embroidery. Palestinian tatreez is a traditional Palestinian embroidery art form, passed down through generations. It features intricate patterns stitched onto fabric, often symbolizing cultural stories, heritage, and identity. Tatreez incorporates a variety of stitches, however the most common stitch seen in Palestinian Tatreez is the fallahi stitch, or cross stitch.
   
   
2. What materials are used in Tatreez?
   This depends on what you plan to stitch on. If you're stitching on clothing you'll want too use waste canvas. Most commonly for wall hangings and home decor 14 count Aida fabric is used, but other evenweave fabrics like linen can also be used. You can purchase a Tatreez Kit from our shop with all the materials needed.
   
   
3. Is Tatreez difficult to learn?
   Not at all! Tatreez is accessible to beginners, and with some patience and practice, anyone can create beautiful designs. Our workshops and kits provide step-by-step guidance, making it easy to get started. You can also check out our YouTube page for video tutorials.

   Many cultures practice their own versions of Tatreez, but Palestinian Tatreez is more than embroidery—it’s a form of storytelling and cultural preservation.
